THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

UPDATE ON THE TREATMENT OF SENSETIME GROUP B IN THE MSCI INDEXES IN RELATION TO AMENDED US EXECUTIVE ORDER 13959

On May 5, 2023, MSCI had announced that it would treat Sensetime Group B, the listed security of SenseTime Group Inc., as subject to US Executive Order 13959, as amended by Executive Order 14032 (the Order), following the inclusion of SenseTime Group Ltd. in the Non-SDN Chinese Military Industrial Complex Companies List (NS-CMIC List) without corresponding security identifiers. At that time, this precautionary treatment made Sensetime Group B ineligible for inclusion in the MSCI China All Shares or MSCI China Indexes.

Following a further review and noting that there have been no subsequent updates regarding the inclusion of SenseTime Group Inc. in the NS-CMIC List, MSCI intends to revise its treatment and consider Sensetime Group B as eligible for inclusion in the MSCI China All Shares and MSCI China Indexes at the next Index Review.

MSCI reminds users of its indexes for any purpose, including both indexed and active management, that they are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable sanctions and any other rules, regulations, prohibitions, laws, and other restrictions applicable to their portfolios, trading, and other investment activity.

MSCI welcomes feedback from market participants on the proposed eligibility of Sensetime Group B and will announce its final decision by January 15, 2026.
