THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

UPDATES ON THE TREATMENT OF CERTAIN INDONESIAN SECURITIES IN THE MAY 2025 INDEX REVIEW

MSCI clarifies that it will continue to not implement additions of the following securities as part of the May 2025 Index Review:

- BARITO RENEWABLES ENERGY (MSCI Security Code: 56603.01)
- PETRINDO JAYA KREASI (MSCI Security Code: 54851.01)
- PETROSEA (MSCI Security Code: 67890.01)

As a reminder, MSCI applied an exceptional treatment to these securities in the February 2025 Index Review due to concerns that they may not be sufficiently investable, including potential shareholding concentration issues.

This treatment is being applied in light of a potential enhancement to the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes (GIMI) methodology that is currently under consideration.

More specifically, MSCI is seeking feedback on the following:

- For any security listed in Indonesia that has been subject to Indonesia Stock Exchange's Unusual Market Activity (UMA) announcement and/or has appeared on its Watch List Board due to Criteria 10 - relating to unusual price movement - within the past twelve months, it would not be considered for addition to the MSCI GIMI during an Index Review.

MSCI welcomes feedback from market participants on the above proposal by June 20, 2025, and will provide clarity on the treatment by July 11, 2025.
