Update on Daily Fixed Income Index Proforma Incorporating Newly Released ESG Datasets

MSCI would like to provide an update to its announcement dated March 06, 2026, regarding the Simulated Impact of MSCI ESG Ratings Model Update on MSCI Fixed Income Sustainability and Climate Indexes.

The MSCI Sustainability & Climate (S&C) team has confirmed that the official release of the updated MSCI ESG Ratings data (model version 5.0), previously targeted for March 16, 2026, is now planned for March 23, 2026. This has been confirmed and communicated by the MSCI S&C team in this announcement https://support.msci.com/support/notifications/final-reminder-esg-ratings/06578984357.

As a result, the daily index proforma for MSCI's Fixed Income Indexes will incorporate the newly released ESG datasets beginning one to two business days following this revised release date. Based on the updated March 23rd release, the proforma is now expected to begin reflecting the updated ESG ratings latest by March 25th, 2026.

All other details referenced in the original announcement remain unchanged. The March 2026 month-end index rebalancing will continue to use the updated ESG Ratings data as of T-3, which corresponds to March 27, 2026.
