THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

MSCI PROPOSES TO AMEND THE MAY 2019 AND AUGUST 2019 INDEX REVIEW DATES

MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of research-based indexes and
analytics, proposes to exceptionally change key dates for the May 2019
Semi-Annual Index Review (SAIR) and the August 2019 Quarterly Index Review (QIR)
in the context of the inclusion of the MSCI Saudi Arabia Indexes to the MSCI
Emerging Markets Indexes.

More specifically, under this proposal, MSCI would implement the results of the
May 2019 SAIR as of the close of May 29, 2019, effective May 30, 2019 (amended
from June 3, 2019), while keeping the index review announcement date unchanged
on May 14, 2019.

The results of the August 2019 QIR would be implemented as of the close of
August 28, 2019, effective August 29, 2019 (amended from September 2, 2019). In
addition, to provide sufficient time for implementation, MSCI would change the
index review announcement date from August 12, 2019 to August 8, 2019.

The change for the index review effective dates are proposed to reflect Friday
closure of the Saudi Arabian equity market. In addition, the current
announcement date for the August 2019 QIR may fall on the Eid Al Adha holidays
on which the Saudi Arabian equity market, among others, may be closed.

Please note that MSCI would still calculate the MSCI Hedged, MSCI Adaptive
Hedge, MSCI FX Hedge and MSCI Global Currency Indexes, based on the WM/Reuters
forward rates, using the regular month-end rebalancing cycle on May 31, 2019 and
August 30, 2019.

As a reminder, the MSCI Saudi Arabia Indexes will be included in the MSCI
Emerging Markets Indexes in two steps, coinciding with the May 2019 SAIR and the
August 2019 QIR.

MSCI welcomes feedback from market participants on this topic on or before
February 28, 2019. MSCI will confirm the index review dates by March 7, 2019.
