ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI WORLD EX SELECT BUSINESS INVOLVEMENT, KEY ISSUES AND CARBON EMISSIONS SCREEN INDEX

MSCI announced today that as part of the August 2026 Index Review, the MSCI World Ex Select Business Involvement, Key Issues and Carbon Emissions Screen Index (Index Code: 761571) has been updated to apply the following exclusions criteria:

- Tobacco-related products
- Thermal and Metallurgical Coal Mining
- Thermal Coal Power conditional on Science Based Targets Initiative

This methodology enhancement was implemented at the August 2026 Index Review, effective September 1, 2026.

The updated methodology book will be available on MSCI's website at on or before September 1, 2026.
