THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

FURTHER UPDATE REGARDING CHANGES TO MSCI INDEXES RELATING TO US EXECUTIVE ORDER 13959

On June 3, 2021, the President of the United States issued a new executive order which amends and supersedes the prior Executive Order 13959.  Accordingly, MSCI no longer will proceed with the deletion of the below 4 securities referenced in General License 1B from the MSCI China All Shares Indexes or any non-market capitalization weighted indexes or custom indexes as of the close of June 9, 2021.

MSCI is currently reviewing the newly amended Executive Order 13959 and will issue further communication detailing its potential index treatment of any impacted securities in due course.

MSCI reminds users of its indexes for any purpose, including both indexed and active management, that they are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable sanctions and any other rules, regulations, prohibitions, laws and other restrictions applicable to their portfolios, trading and other investment activity.
