MSCI AND bvc LAUNCH THE MSCI PROVISIONAL COLCAP INDEX

MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of critical decision support tools and services for the global investment community, and Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (bvc), the leading operator of the Colombian capital market infrastructure and the Colombian Securities Exchange, are pleased to announce that the MSCI Provisional COLCAP Index has been launched today. Additionally, the MSCI COLCAP Index methodology book has also been published.

As a reminder, coinciding with the MSCI May 2021 Semi-Annual Index Review, the MSCI COLCAP Index will replace the existing bvc COLCAP Index, in a one-step transition effective May 28, 2021.

In preparation for the upcoming transition of the bvc COLCAP Index to the MSCI COLCAP Index and to provide transparency to market participants, MSCI will make available the MSCI Provisional COLCAP Index.

The MSCI Provisional COLCAP Index is calculated from March 1, 2021, to coincide with the MSCI Index Review calendar. The index commences with the last level of the bvc COLCAP Index as of February 26, 2021.

The MSCI Provisional COLCAP Index will be maintained based on the MSCI COLCAP Index methodology. Additional details on the construction and maintenance of the MSCI Provisional COLCAP Index are available in the MSCI COLCAP Index methodology book.

The MSCI Provisional COLCAP Index does not replace the existing bvc COLCAP Index, which will continue to be calculated until the transition to the MSCI COLCAP Index in May 2021.

Access to index level and constituent data for the MSCI Provisional COLCAP Index will be delivered through Integrated Client Files (ICF) upon request.

MSCI and bvc will publish additional information as necessary.
