MSCI May 2026 Index Review - Clarification on the Treatment of Scheduled Market Holidays on the Index Review Implementation Date

MSCI confirms that for indexes calculated on a Monday to Friday basis, the May 2026 Index Review will be implemented as of the close of business on May 29, 2026, with an effective date of June 1, 2026. For indexes calculated on a Sunday to Thursday basis, the implementation will be carried out as of the close of business on May 31, 2026, also with an effective date of June 1, 2026.

Upcoming public holidays, including the Eid Al Adha Holidays, are expected to affect certain markets around the implementation dates. In accordance with MSCI methodology, when a stock market is closed on the scheduled implementation date due to a public holiday, the index change will be implemented using the last available closing price prior to that date.
