THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

MSCI WILL CHANGE INDEX REVIEW DATES FOR MAY 2019 AND AUGUST 2019 INDEX REVIEWS

RE: Announcement dated February 19, 2019

MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of research-based indexes and
analytics, announced today that it will change key dates for the May 2019
Semi-Annual Index Review (SAIR) and the August 2019 Quarterly Index Review (QIR)
in the context of the inclusion of the MSCI Saudi Arabia Indexes to the MSCI
Emerging Markets Indexes.

Specifically, the results of the May 2019 SAIR will be implemented as of the
close of May 28, 2019, effective May 29, 2019 (amended from June 3, 2019). To
provide sufficient time for implementation, MSCI will announce the results of
the May 2019 SAIR on May 13, 2019 (amended from May 14, 2019).

The results of the August 2019 QIR will be implemented as of the close of August
28, 2019, effective August 29, 2019 (amended from September 2, 2019). MSCI will
announce the results of the August 2019 QIR on August 8, 2019 (amended from
August 12, 2019).

The changes in the Index Review dates are aimed at facilitating implementation
of the inclusion of the MSCI Saudi Arabia Indexes in the MSCI Emerging Markets
Indexes, considering the market trading schedule and expected market holidays.

These dates were selected based on feedback from market participants indicating
potential implementation concerns in light of Friday market closure, as well as
uncertainty related to the beginning of the Eid al-Fitr holidays in Saudi
Arabia.

All the derived indexes will also follow the above change in the effective
dates, with the usual advance notification period.

Please note that MSCI will still calculate the MSCI Hedged, MSCI Adaptive Hedge,
MSCI FX Hedge and MSCI Global Currency Indexes, based on the WM/Reuters forward
rates, using the regular month-end rebalancing cycle on May 31, 2019 and August
30, 2019.
