ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI CHINA IMI ENVIRONMENT 10/40 INDEX

MSCI announced today that as part of the August 2026 Index Review, the China IMI Environment 10/40 Index (Index Code: 715612) has been updated to reflect the following changes:

- Introduction of Sustainable Impact revenue-based theme classification, assigning each eligible constituent to one of eight Environmental Impact themes based on its highest thematic revenue exposure.
- Introduction of theme stability rules, a four-quarter waiting period before a constituent can migrate from one Environmental Impact theme to another.
- Introduction of a 30% cap at the Environmental Impact theme level to enhance diversification across themes prior to the application of 10/40 capping.

This methodology enhancement was implemented at the August 2026 Index Review, effective September 1, 2026.
