MSCI ESG SELECT INDEXES METHODOLOGY BOOK UPDATE AND INTRODUCING MSCI USA ESG
FOCUS INDEX

MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of research-based indexes and
analytics, announced that the methodology book for the family of MSCI ESG Select
Indexes will be updated as of August 11, 2016, to rename MSCI ESG Select Indexes
to MSCI ESG Focus Indexes. The updated methodology book will be available on the
MSCI web site at: https://www.msci.com/index-methodology.

Consequently, MSCI will rename the following two indexes:

1. MSCI EAFE ESG Select Index (Code - 709369) will be called MSCI EAFE ESG Focus
Index

2. MSCI EM (Emerging Markets) ESG Select Index (Code - 709370) will be called
MSCI EM (Emerging Markets) ESG Focus Index.

Index-level data for the MSCI EAFE ESG Focus Index and the MSCI Emerging Markets
(EM) ESG Focus Index will be available through the MSCI Enhanced Index service,
the MSCI Vendor Index module, the MSCI Enhanced Index module and the MSCI web
site, www.msci.com, as of August 11, 2016. Access to index- and
constituent-level data for this index may be licensed individually on demand, or
via the MSCI ESG modules, starting on August 11, 2016.

Coinciding with the change on August 11, 2016, MSCI will also launch the MSCI
USA ESG Focus Index, constructed using the MSCI ESG Focus Methodology. As of the
close of August 11, 2016, the index-level data will be available through the
MSCI Enhanced Index service, the MSCI Vendor Index module, the MSCI Enhanced
Index module in addition to the MSCI web site, www.msci.com and
constituent-level data may be licensed on demand. Subsequently, index and
constituent-level data will also be available via the MSCI ESG modules, starting
on September 12, 2016.
