THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

MSCI TO DISCONTINUE CERTAIN INDEXES FOLLOWING THE RECLASSIFICATIONS OF ARGENTINA AND PAKISTAN

Following the reclassifications of Argentina and Pakistan, MSCI will discontinue certain MSCI Value and Growth Indexes as well as certain MSCI Islamic Indexes effective December 1, 2021.

More specifically, MSCI will discontinue the MSCI Argentina Islamic and MSCI Argentina Value and Growth Indexes. MSCI will also discontinue the MSCI Pakistan Islamic Small Cap and Pakistan Islamic SMID Cap Indexes, the MSCI Pakistan Islamic IMI, as well as all the MSCI Pakistan Value and Growth Indexes.

MSCI will continue to calculate the MSCI Pakistan Islamic, Pakistan Islamic Large Cap and Pakistan Islamic Mid Cap Indexes.

As a reminder, the MSCI Argentina Indexes will be reclassified from Emerging Markets to Standalone Markets status, while the MSCI Pakistan Indexes will be reclassified from Emerging Markets to Frontier Markets in one step as part of the November 2021 Semi-Annual Index Review (SAIR).

The list of the indexes that will be discontinued includes:

- MSCI Pakistan IMI Value Index
- MSCI Pakistan Large Growth Index
- MSCI Pakistan Large Value Index
- MSCI Pakistan Mid Growth Index
- MSCI Pakistan Mid Value Index
- MSCI Pakistan Small Growth Index
- MSCI Pakistan Small Value Index
- MSCI Pakistan SMID Growth Index
- MSCI Pakistan SMID Value Index
- MSCI Argentina Growth Index
- MSCI Argentina Value Index
- MSCI Argentina IMI Growth Index
- MSCI Argentina IMI Value Index
- MSCI Argentina Large Growth Index
- MSCI Argentina Large Value Index
