Effective May 4, 2021, the MSCI Singapore Indexes and related indexes will start to be distributed during the World distribution by 00:00 UTC. Today, these indexes are distributed during the Asia Pacific (AP) and the Europe distributions by 18:00 UTC and 21:15 UTC respectively.

The change in distribution via MSCI Index Products will be implemented prior to the May 2021 Semi-Annual Index Review (SAIR) announcement to allow clients time to adjust to this change.

An MSCI Technical communication detailing this change, including the list of impacted indexes and other changes was distributed on March 3rd to all clients.

As a reminder, on November 10, 2020, MSCI announced that foreign listings will become eligible for the MSCI Singapore Indexes starting from the May 2021 SAIR, as the market met the Foreign Listing Materiality Requirements at the November 2020 (SAIR). The change in distribution is not indication that any foreign listing will or will not be included in the MSCI Singapore Index.
