UPDATE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DECARBONIZATION TRAJECTORY ADJUSTMENTS FOR MSCI EQUITY CTB/PAB INDEXES

MSCI announced today that the default approach to adjust the decarbonization trajectory for MSCI Equity CTB/PAB indexes that have significant changes in the calculation methodology of GHG intensity will be implemented at the November 2025 Index Review. This will apply to the following standard MSCI index methodologies:

- MSCI EU CTB/PAB Overlay Indexes Methodology
- MSCI Climate Change Indexes Methodology
- MSCI Climate Paris Aligned Indexes Methodology

The default approach is described in detail in the MSCI EU CTB/PAB Index Framework, available at: https://www.msci.com/index/methodology/latest/EUCTBPABIndexFramework.

For custom CTB/PAB indexes, MSCI can implement the default approach at the November 2025 Index Review, but any client requests for customized approaches would have to be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
