CONSULTATION ON POTENTIAL ENHANCEMENTS TO THE MSCI CLIMATE ACTION INDEXES METHODOLOGY

MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of critical decision support tools and services for the global investment community, announced today the launch of a consultation with the investment community on potential enhancements to the MSCI Climate Action Indexes Methodology.

MSCI proposes the following enhancements to the methodology with the aim to broaden the investment universe and lower ex-ante tracking error:
 - Streamlined screens and capping (simplifying screens and refining capping rules) - Proposal 1-6
 - Tilt-based approach (broader selection and transition-based reweighting) - Proposal 7
 - Unified transition signal (a single measure of climate transition readiness) - Proposal 8

MSCI invites feedback from market participants on or before April 03, 2026, and will announce results of the consultation and the implementation timeline on or before April 10, 2026. MSCI will provide additional materials in the next few days.
