SIMULATED IMPACT OF MSCI ESG RATINGS MODEL UPDATE ON MSCI INDEXES

MSCI makes available today the simulated impact on MSCI indexes of the MSCI ESG Ratings model enhancements that are expected to be rolled out in March 2026.

Simulated index turnover, number of additions and deletions, and index ESG scores are provided for all impacted standard MSCI indexes distributed through MSCI's ESG and Factor modules as well as the MSCI Fixed Income Sustainability indexes. The file is available on the MSCI Client Support Site at:

The simulations are based on the November 2025 Index Review and provide a comparison of results using current ESG Ratings data vs. simulated ESG Ratings data published by MSCI Solutions on November 24, 2025.

For custom MSCI indexes, similar simulated impact is available upon request.

The simulations do not cover Fixed Income Sustainability indexes managed by third party index providers using MSCI ESG Ratings data. More information on the impact for these indexes can be requested directly from the relevant index providers.

MSCI intends to provide updated index simulations and further analysis by mid-February 2026 as MSCI Solutions publishes updated simulated ESG Ratings data.
