THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

MSCI TO EXTEND THE CONSULTATIONS ON POTENTIAL ENHANCEMENTS TO SELECT MSCI ESG INDEX METHODOLOGIES

MSCI announced today that it will extend the ongoing consultations with the investment community on a series of methodology enhancements to select MSCI ESG Index methodologies.

1) MSCI ESG Screened Indexes

MSCI invites feedback from market participants on the proposals by October 22, 2021 and will announce the results of the consultation on or before October 29, 2021. Changes, if any, would be implemented as part of the MSCI February 2022 Quarterly Index Review at the earliest.

2) MSCI KLD 400 Social Index, MSCI USA Catholic Values Index, MSCI USA ESG Select Index

MSCI invites feedback from market participants on the proposals by October 01, 2021 and will announce the results of the consultation on or before October 08, 2021. Changes, if any, would be implemented as part of the MSCI November 2021 Semi-Annual Index Review at the earliest.
