THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

UPDATE ON THE TREATMENT OF SNAP (US) IN THE MSCI EQUITY INDEXES

Following additional analysis, the IPO of SNAP (US) did not meet all of the
relevant market capitalization requirements required for early inclusion into
the MSCI USA Index as of the close of its first trading day, March 2, 2017.
Additionally, SNAP (US) did not meet such requirements necessary for early
inclusion into the MSCI USA Index as of the close of its second trading day,
today, March 3, 2017.

Therefore, and in accordance with the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes
methodology, SNAP (US)'s inclusion into the MSCI USA Index will be re-assessed
as part of the next Semi-Annual Index Review, which occurs in May 2017.

The inclusion or exclusion of SNAP (US) in the MSCI US Equity Indexes, MSCI
Sustainability Indexes, MSCI SRI Indexes and MSCI ESG Universal Indexes remains
the same as announced on March 2, 2017.

1) The continuing eligibility of companies that do not have any listed voting
shares for potential inclusion into the MSCI Global Investable Markets Indexes
and MSCI US Equity Indexes.

2) The continuing eligibility of companies that do not have any listed voting
shares for potential inclusion into the MSCI ESG Universal Indexes.
