THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

MSCI ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF THE MSCI BALTIC STATES AND MSCI LATVIA INDEXES

MSCI is pleased to announce the launch of the MSCI Baltic States and MSCI Latvia Indexes. This is in relation to the changes to the MSCI Frontier Market Indexes to be applied starting at the August 2023 Index Review, as announced on June 29, 2023.

The 8 new indexes are:

- MSCI Baltic States Index
- MSCI Baltic States IMI
- MSCI Baltic States Small Cap Index
- MSCI Baltic States Islamic Index
- MSCI Latvia Index
- MSCI Latvia IMI
- MSCI Latvia Small Cap Index
- MSCI Latvia Islamic Index

Starting from the August 2023 Index Review, MSCI will consider Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia as a single market for the purpose of index construction and maintenance under the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes Methodology to derive the constituents of the MSCI Baltic States Indexes. The MSCI Baltic States Indexes will be maintained as a Very Low Liquidity market with a minimum Annualized Traded Value Ratio (ATVR) requirement of 2.5%.

The MSCI Estonia, MSCI Lithuania and MSCI Latvia Indexes are then derived from the constituents of the MSCI Baltic States Indexes. Constituents of the MSCI Latvia Indexes, if any, will be included in the MSCI Frontier Markets Indexes, effective September 1, 2023.

Index and constituent level data for these Indexes will be available via the MSCI Core Modules starting September 1, 2023. Index level data for these indexes will also be available via the MSCI Enhanced Index Module, Enhanced Index Service and Vendor Index Module starting September 1, 2023.
