THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

UPDATE TO MSCI WORLD IMI SUSTAINABLE WATER TRANSITION INDEX METHODOLOGY

MSCI announced today that the methodology of MSCI World IMI Sustainable Water Transition Index has been updated to apply the following enhancements effective on April 1, 2025:

- Change the Thermal Coal Mining threshold from 5% to 1%.

- Apply these additional exclusion screens:

    - Thermal Coal Distribution: All companies with evidence of involvement in thermal coal distribution;

    - Power Generation: All companies deriving 50% or more aggregate revenue from thermal coal- based power generation, liquid fuel-based power generation and natural gas-based power generation;

    - Tobacco: All companies that are involved in the manufacturing of Tobacco products;

    - Oil and Gas:

        - All companies deriving 10% or more aggregate revenue (either reported or estimated) from oil-related activities;

        - All companies deriving 50% or more aggregate revenue (either reported or estimated) from gas-related activities.
