MSCI CONFIRMS THE CURRENT TREATMENT OF FOREIGN OWNERSHIP LIMITS IN THE MSCI
INDIA INDEXES

MSCI welcomes the publication of the new sectoral limits by National Securities
Depository Limited (NSDL) & Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL). As the
mechanism put in place for systematic publication of these limits is still very
recent more time is required for it to be tested by market participants before
MSCI would consider changing the treatment of foreign ownership limits in the
MSCI India Indexes.

As a reminder, MSCI will provide further communication on the treatment of
Indian FOL and Foreign Room no later than June 30, 2020.
