UPDATE TO THE METHODOLOGY BOOKS FOR THE MSCI JAPAN EMPOWERING WOMEN (WIN)

MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of research-based indexes and
analytics, announced today that the MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Index
methodology book as well as the MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Select Index
methodology book have been updated to reflect the change in parent index from
the MSCI Japan IMI Top 500 to the MSCI Japan IMI Top 700.
