THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

FURTHER UPDATE REGARDING CHANGES TO MSCI INDEXES RELATING TO AMENDED US EXECUTIVE ORDER 13959

Following the amendment of US Executive Order 13959 (Order) on June 3, 2021, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has published the Non-SDN Chinese Military-Industrial Complex Companies List (NS-CMIC List) and related security tickers. MSCI will delete the securities included in OFAC's NS-CMIC List from the MSCI ACWI Indexes and from relevant non-market capitalization weighted indexes and custom indexes as of the close of July 26, 2021.

The seven securities that will be deleted represent 0.005% of the MSCI ACWI IMI and 0.042% of the MSCI EM IMI (based on data as of July 7, 2021).

In addition, the below four securities that were previously deleted from the MSCI ACWI Indexes are not included in the NS-CMIC List. These securities will become eligible for potential inclusion in the MSCI ACWI Indexes and relevant non-market capitalization weighted indexes and custom indexes starting from the August 2021 Quarterly Index Review.

Addition of such securities to the MSCI ACWI Indexes as part of the August 2021 Quarterly Index Review will be subject to the securities meeting all necessary requirements for new companies, as described in section 3.2.2 of the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes Methodology.

The changes will be reflected in the MSCI Advance Corporate Events (ACE) files starting July 9, 2021.
