THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDEXES

CLARIFICATION ON THE MAINTENANCE OF THE MSCI CHINA INDEXES

MSCI clarifies that future maintenance rules of the MSCI China Indexes will be
in line with the rules applied to the MSCI Provisional CHINA NOVEMBER 2019
Index, which served as a basis for rebalancing of the MSCI China Index during
November 2019 Semi-Annual Index Review (SAIR).

Specifically, in order to be added to the MSCI China Index, China A shares must
meet the full market capitalization and free float-adjusted market
capitalization requirements applicable to non-constituents, in addition to other
requirements such as Stock Connect eligibility, regardless of their inclusion
status in the MSCI China All Shares Index.
